Dr. Melani Ozbolt, Ph.D.

Dr. Ozbolt is a licensed psychologist with the Alabama Board of Examiners in Psychology (License # 2262), and the owner of New Heights Psychology, LLC. Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Berry College. Dr. Ozbolt completed a full-time doctoral residency serving the students at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Both her Ph.D. program and residency were accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Ozbolt has 14 years of experience working in a variety of professional settings including community mental health, the VA, and university counseling centers. Dr. Ozbolt specializes in individual therapy with adults, couples therapy, and community outreach.

She strives to get to know her clients’ individual needs, and to work with them to create a therapeutic approach that focuses on their unique strengths, situations, and personalities. Her aim is to build a therapeutic relationship where her clients feel truly understood and respected. From there, her clients can strive to reach new heights towards healing from the challenges they have experienced, and obtaining mental health and personal goals that will help them thrive.

Dr. Ozbolt also has a passion for outreach and consultation. She enjoys helping other mental health professionals navigate new situations and conducting workshops on mental health topics to the broader community.

Dr. Natalie Muñoz, Ph.D.

Dr. Natalie Muñoz is a dedicated school psychologist with over a decade of experience working with children and families. Her career began as an elementary school teacher, where she developed a deep understanding of children’s educational and emotional needs. Driven by a desire to further support children’s emotional and behavioral development, she transitioned to school psychology and earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University. Currently, Dr. Muñoz is completing a post-doctoral internship under the mentorship of Dr. Melani Ozbolt.

Certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dr. Muñoz specializes in enhancing parent-child relationships and addressing disruptive behaviors in young children. Her expertise in PCIT makes her particularly skilled at working with families who have children aged 2–7 years old exhibiting challenging behaviors such as frequent tantrums, defiance, aggression, or difficulty following instructions.
